Coconut Oil Treatment for Dry Cracked Heels
Materials Needed:
- Virgin coconut oil
- Warm water
- Mild soap
- Foot scrub or pumice stone
- Cotton socks
- Towel
Method:
1. Soak Your Feet:
- Start by soaking your feet in warm water for 10–15 minutes to soften the skin.
- Add a mild soap if needed to cleanse your feet.
- Use a foot scrub or pumice stone to gently remove dead skin cells from your heels.
- Focus on the cracked areas but avoid scrubbing too hard, as this can irritate the skin.
- Pat your feet dry with a towel. Ensure your heels are completely dry before applying oil.
- Generously apply virgin coconut oil to your dry, cracked heels. The oil acts as a deep moisturizer, helping to restore and lock in moisture.
- Massage the oil into your feet, especially the cracked areas, for a few minutes.
- After applying the oil, put on a pair of clean cotton socks to allow the oil to deeply penetrate the skin.
- Leave the socks on overnight for the best results.
6. Repeat Daily:
- For best results, repeat this process every night before bed until your heels heal and soften.
Coconut oil is rich in fatty acids, making it a great natural moisturizer. With consistent use, it helps to repair and nourish the skin, leaving your heels soft and smooth.
